Rotary District 5150 members from the 17 Rotary clubs in Marin, along with district leaders, gathered on June 17 to celebrate their support of Homeward Bound of Marin’s veteran housing “Fund a Room” initiative. The 24-apartment complex is being built to end veteran homelessness in Marin.

“I am extremely proud of the support and camaraderie of our Rotarians and clubs. We exceeded our $25,000 goal and were able to donate more than $50,000,” said Sylvia Barry, assistant governor of Rotary District 5150 and chair of Rotary Day of Service.

Assemblymember Damon Connolly, D-San Rafael, Marin County Supervisor Eric Lucan and Marin County Veterans Service Officer Sean Stephens were on hand in Novato to share their thoughts and support of the project.
