Two hundred families from San Pedro and Bahia elementary schools received Thanksgiving meals on Nov. 17 thanks to the generosity of the Westbrook family of San Rafael. Mike Westbrook, a general manager with the Price Family Automotive Group and a Giving Marin Partner, joined with wife Kristy, son Jon and daughter Lara, and volunteers who also contributed financially to the efforts, to make the distributions.

For the third year in a row, United Markets provided at cost approximately 700 pounds of fresh chickens, 1,000 pounds of potatoes and 200 pies. Ahmed’s Moving Express made a cash donation and provided two team members and a truck to coordinate meal deliveries.

Funds were also raised to purchase sports equipment and school supplies.

“We want to acknowledge and support the community and help raise awareness and support for these young people and their families,” Mike Westbrook said.
