A NEW GENERATION OF QUILTERS IN MILL VALLEY

Students at Bright Horizons at Mill Valley learn the art of quilt making through support from Mt. Tam Quilt Guild. Photo courtesy of Mt. Tam Quilt Guild

Mt. Tam Quilt Guild members recently donated fabric to Bright Horizons at Mill Valley. Beth Conroy, Bright Horizons director and guild member, has sparked a quilting interest in her students. She used the guild’s book, “Emma, Lucie & the Quilted Animals,” to inspire her students to make their own quilts.
Mt. Tam Quilt Guild welcomes those of all ages who are interested in quilting to its second Tuesday of the month meetings. The Mt. Tam Quilt Guild promotes an interest in – and appreciation of – the art of quilt making, to share quilting information and education, to encourage high standards of technique and design, and to assist the community by utilizing the talents of the members to create quilts for those in need and to donate the quilts through Marin County nonprofits.
