The Marin Women’s Hall of Fame annual induction and celebration, held Feb. 8 in San Rafael, honored five leaders in law, nonprofits and advocacy. This year’s five honorees include Kim Mazzuca, president and CEO of college success nonprofit 10,000 Degrees; Linda Witong Abrahm, retired Marin deputy district attorney, president of Soroptimist International Novato, and United Nations delegate; Kellye Eboni McKinley, CEO of Our Sisters Keeper; Beverly K. Wood, judge of the Superior Court, Marin County; and Berta Campos-Anicetti, retired director of Latine Services, North Marin Community Services. Over 300 guests, including 30 previous Marin Women’s Hall of Fame honorees, attended the uplifting event at Embassy Suites to celebrate the class of 2024. Established in 1987, the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame recognizes Marin women of distinction, preserves their stories, educates the public on women’s contributions, and inspires future generations of women and girls. The Marin Women’s Hall of Fame was co-founded by YWCA, AAUW and the Marin Women’s Commission. Before the start of the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame, virtually no records of women’s achievements had been recorded in Marin County. During the event, the YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley unveiled an archive of honoree oral biographies. The videos, which include interviews with Marin Women’s Hall of Fame honorees dating back to 1988, are available at tinyurl.com/ MHWFBios.
