On March 21, St. Vincent de Paul of Marin celebrated the opening of its new service location atM747 B St. in San Rafael. This space will host the Help Desk Program, the only one of its kind in Marin, which provides walk-up housing search assistance and direct client aid for people who are precariouslyhoused, newly homeless and chronically homeless. More than 50 benefactors and friends, including Mayor Kate Colin, District Attorney Lori Frugoli, and aides to California Senate President Pro Tempore Mike McGuire and Supervisor Mary Sackett gathered to join St. Vincent de Paul Society for the occasion. Pat Coll, owner of Marinitas Restaurant in San Anselmo, served fresh tacos and margaritas for event guests.
