Art Works Downtown’s Art Rageous Burning Bubbles Bash annual fundraiser was held on April 20 and raised more than $40,000. The event was attended by more than 200 people at the Art Works Downtown art center in San Rafael including Phyllis Thelen, founder, and Terry Lofrano, board member, both event honorees.

Wines and champagne were served from the JBC collection, and food was prepared by Tutu’s Lounge, Casa Manana, Falafel Hut and Good Earth. The Crooked Stuff performed psychedelic synth punk, funk and soul music. Guests enjoyed a fire dancer, bubble wizard and art exhibitions throughout the Art Works Downtown art center.

Event proceeds support the nonprofit’s mission to provide an environment where visual arts thrive for the well-being of the community by providing affordable artist studios, art gallery exhibits, education, public events and more.
