More than 150 community members gathered at the Bill and Adele Jonas Center in Novato to celebrate Linda Jacobs’ retirement after 25 years of leadership as CEO at the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership.
The celebration on June 29 brought together former and current staff, board members, nonprofit leaders, funders, elected officials, community partners, clients, volunteers and friends to recognize Jacobs’ contributions to the nonprofit sector and the communities of Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties.

Throughout her tenure, Jacobs championed volunteerism, strengthened nonprofit organizations, spearheaded emergency response efforts, led key fundraisers like the Human Race and Secret Santa and helped advance solutions to some of the region’s most pressing challenges.
San Rafael Chamber of Commerce CEO Karen Strolia has been hired as CVNL’s next chief executive. She will begin in August.
