Night in Tuscany raises more than $445,000

North Bay Children’s Center celebrated a record-breaking year at its 37th Annual A Night in Tuscany benefit on Sept. 19, raising more than $445,000 to support high-quality early childhood education, nutrition and essential services for children and families throughout the North Bay.

The sold-out evening welcomed 340 guests to the Gambonini Family Ranch for a celebration of community, generosity, food, wine and music. NBCC extends its appreciation to Presenting Sponsors Brayton Purcell LLP and Thirty-Seven Wines.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception featuring a dozen wine and artisan purveyors, followed by a three-course dinner, more than 60 silent auction packages and a live auction led by state Sen. Mike McGuire. Guests also had the opportunity to make a direct impact through NBCC’s Fund-A-Need paddle raise. Tenor Daniel Rodriguez and soprano Marla Kavanaugh provided a special musical performance that added to the evening’s celebration.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of NBCC’s 2026 Champion for Children Award to Dustin Valette, chef and owner of Valette, The Matheson, Roof 106 and Valette Wines. Valette was honored for his commitment to the community and longstanding support of children and families.

“The incredible generosity of our supporters makes it possible for NBCC to continue providing children with the early education, nutrition, and supportive services they need to thrive,” said Susan Gilmore, founder and CEO of North Bay Children’s Center. “This record- breaking evening is a testament to what we can accomplish when our community comes together for children and families.”

Proceeds from A Night in Tuscany will support NBCC’s comprehensive early childhood programs and services, including early learning, healthy nutrition family support and other safety-net services.
