POSTER CONTEST DEADLINES MAY 6
May 6, 2022
The Youth Poster Contest gives Marin middle and high school students a public platform to stand up and speak out about social justice, health, discrimination, climate change, women’s rights, immigration, firearms regulations and other issues important to them. The project also focuses on reaching underserved Marin youth who might not otherwise have exposure to art due to a lack of art teachers, art supplies or parental support at home. Students are engaged through free poster workshops in several Title I schools, and via Next Generation Scholars, which provides educational programming to at-risk Marin students. The Youth Poster Contest was developed in partnership with the Marin County Office of Education. Prizes will be awarded to the contest winners. Posters can be submitted at RileyStreet Art Supply in San Rafael until May 6. For more information, visit youthpostercontest.org.
