To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation was honored to acknowledge and award $270,000 in grants to 16 Bay Area nonprofit organizations which support women and men with breast health issues in our community. These organizations provide emergency, direct and diagnostic services, financial assistance, patient navigation, holistic complementary therapies and emotional support programs to underserved breast cancer patients. Grant recipients are located throughout the nine-county Bay Area.

The annual Grants Reception, held on April 1 at The Spinnaker in Sausalito, was a special evening where the foundation’s sponsors, donors and volunteers could celebrate together with this year’s grant recipients. Foundation sponsors and donors presented grant awards on behalf of To Celebrate Life.

These awards bring the total granted since the organization’s inception in 1996 to over $7.5 million. Grant recipients were chosen from a pool of applicants by the foundation’s Grants Review Committee, which consists of community health and medical leaders, foundation supporters andpast and present foundation board directors, many who have personally experienced breast cancer.
